I've just joined the forum and am considering a Mangusta purchase.

There is however one matter that I am not sure about and that is the presence or absence of ABS brakes.

I've read that the first cars did not have ABS (anti-lock or anti-skid) brakes, but that it was intended to fit them to later cars.

Did this happen – and if so, from which chassis number onwards? If the records do not show this, perhaps owners could report if their car has ABS or not and their chassis number, so that there would be at least some indication of if/when this happened.

John can confirm, but my understanding is that #200 and up had traction control and ABS.

ABS and traction control was fitted on all vehicles from #200 on. We have 3 other cars prior to #200 in the #150 range that were test bed cars and are fitted with ABS. I would have to check the exact build sheets to verify.

If you are planning on purchasing a vehicle please let me know the last 3 vin digits and i can check.
