Hello Qvale enthusiasts.
Very new and very proud owner of # 69 here. Name is Vadim, located in SF. Love the car. Going topless everywhere.
1st issue resolved - heater blower was very loud and didn't work very well. purchased blower on ebay -

The new blower is about 1/8 - 1/4 inch longer then the original, so had to tighten the bolts on the plastic cover very well. Works very well but still a bit noisy, so it's either tighten to hard or will purchase a new blower together with the plastic case. PM me if you need help with this, it was really easy to do.
Things to do:
1. - with the top up - there is a noise from the roof top clips. Suggestions on how to deal with that? I scratched old insulation and glued to small strips of weather insulation form Home depot onto the clips, but the scratching noise while driving is still there.
2. - when in 1st or second gear there is a metallic scratching noise always between 3000 and 3200 RPMs. Any ideas?
3. - Would like to refresh the rubber insulation strips: they are town in some places and not glued on in others. What glue to use? is there a spray or ... to fix the rips?
4. - Thinking about replacing the audio unit (Alpine) with DVD/NAVI/Bluetooth unit. Also need to replace at least 1 of the blown speakers. Details and "how-to" will follow.
So how many of these bad boys we have here in SF? Do you guys meet? Would love to meet other owners and talk about our babies.
