Post RotoRoof issuse
Has anyone experienced your RotoRoof failing to go up the last 1/4 inch? Mine has recently started to give me a problem. The driver side roof mechanism doesn't reach its full extent. When you hold in the button the passenger side motor stops but the driver side motor continues to run w/o getting the roof to squeeze the rubber roof gasket tightly... I have opened up the entire rear seat & can see the roofroof motor(s)... Is there an adjust I can make to get the driver side to operate to the full extent like it used 2?

check the micro switches that are on the shaft running next to the motors. They are limting switches for up and down and may out of adjustment

Switches seem to be in correct positions... The shaft just ins not reaching ther upper switch on the driver side. Hence the motor continues to run on the drivers side but the roof does not clamp the rubber gasket as tightly as it had or should.

I'm fearing that may be the issue... but have you had these motors fail to stop ( at high limit) when they go bad or just fail to operate?

Disconnect the rototop from the motors and see if it is "square" to the windshield pillar..Then check the height of each motor "unloaded".Make sure the "rototop" is supported manually !!!

I wonder how this was resolved? I've come to believe that if the battery isn't FULLY charged that there isn't enough juice to power the actuator all the way closed.

I read elsewhere in the forum that the battery will drain unless the windows are all the way up and the car is locked. Can anybody confirm this?
