getting into reverse
i have a buyer that is balking about a problem with getting my car into reverse. he says it crunches when putting into reverse. he said you have to put it into first and then go to reverse. this car is at an auction right now. is this something that you are familiar with? is there a fix? please call me if you can. 516-456-7061 cell.

Re: getting into reverse
Early on I found that getting properly engaged in rev. could be difficult if going from Neutral to Rev.
I found that if you put the trans into any forward gear first, before putting in reverse, it is easier to engage properly. I'm not sure if that has something to do with stopping something that is spinning, or going through a synchronizer first, or whatever, but that was my standard procedure.

Re: getting into reverse
