Just got my car the other day and I cannot open my gas cap to get gas. I have checked everywhere for a switch and found under the drivers side dash a switch where gas switches usually are but it does not do anything when I move it up or down and the other switch right next to it opens the hood.

I have no manual with the car and either I am in the wrong place or my switch is broken.

If it is broken is there any other way to open the gas cap?

Nevermind I just found it in the trunk and was able to get it open.

Now only problem is that I cannot get it to shut as it seems that the trunk switch only opens it but will not lock it back.


Any advice.

Sorry for being so stupid but sometimes it the basic things:)

Figured it out:) My latch in the gas tank was not coming all the way out and it took a little tapping to get it to finally pop out.

Maybe I will try to put some WD40 on it.
