Post Gas won't go into the filler neck of the tank ?
 OK here is my delima, the pumps at the various stations keep shutting off as I fill the tank. I get about 3 seconds of fuel between each time it shuts the pump off. Yes I have tried the various angles of the pump, the slowest I can allow the fuel to flow and it just wont go in ! The only breather I can see on a diagram is the over flow which has nothing to do with getting the fuel into the neck. BTW its open. Help needed in FLA. suggestions ?????????????? JD # 114

I had that problem a few years ago, the fuel tank vent system is blocked. You will have to pull the trunk lining panels to expose the fuel tank and the vent plumbing. Connected to the tank is the vent line which runs to the drivers side of the trunk, which is where the charcoal canister is located, among other things. It's been a while, but I remember there was an inline check valve that was stuck and I was able to remove it and "unstick" it, either by simply shaking it or I may have used compressed air, not really sure? I re-installed it once it was loosened up, problem solved! The tank need to be vented when you fill it, since back pressure is what shuts off the fuel nozzle. Good Luck!

 Thanks so much George ! Wow I figured there was a vent somewhere but it was hard to distinguish on the diagram. JD FLA.
