I hate to be even writing this posting, but with 12 other cars.... Original owner, purchased new in the spring of 2003 at Qvale's British Motors Van Ness dealership in San Francisco. Continuously serviced there by John and his team, transmission tunnel signed by Bruce Qvale. Talk about "initial customer satisfaction"! Originally my daily driver while we lived in Tiburon. It has been (and continues to be) a wonderful, totally reliable car. Still has the original battery! And still a great conversation starter and head turner. Has been shown at Concorso Italiano in Monterey.
I liked all of the colors of these cars but after lots of consideration my favorite has been the Santorini Blue with tobacco, 5-speed. No accidents, no stories, just turned 57K, adult-driven miles. 18" wheels trued and refinished at the factory 50,000 mile service. Recent tires. Covered, garaged, always hand washed and babied. Interior flawless with minor patina drivers seat, exterior excellent with some road rash in front
Have all receipts and records including original window sticker. Also have a binder of pictures of the factory operations used for sales and promotion along with two of the smocks worn by the factory technicians.
Car is now in Monterey where we now live.
