Re: Replacement Windshield
You too? The line forms to my back . A couple of years ago John depleted his NOS stash (the thread is still posted here). He has been working on sourcing replacements for some time now. The pricing and international economic climate have played into the time element. He has another possible source "on the boil" at the current time. There might be someone out there that has decided that they don't need to hold onto what they bought back then. If so, let's hear from them. FWIW, I have a set of chrome 18" wheels and decent tires that I might be able to offer-up.

Re: Replacement Windshield
Thanks for the reply. I hope he can find a supplier soon. I would think the manufacture could or would make some for the US. I am talking with a custom glass guy here in Tampa. He makes windshields for custom cars. He thinks he can make one, I am just waiting for his reply. There is a custom glass trade show in Tampa this week so I might not hear anything until next week. If I get a source I will post it here.
I also have a set of original 17" rims w/tires.

Re: Replacement Windshield
I have shipped a windshield to a manufacturer in Georgia, he said he would make a mold and then CNC the glass for production. Waiting to hear back from him, hopefully this week.

Re: Replacement Windshield
There was a trade show of glass manufacture's here in Tampa last week. A company here in Tampa talked with the manufacture of this glass, AGC-Europe. They are going to return to Europe and see if they have any in stock. If not they have agreed to produce some. The guy here in Tampa has agreed to purchase however many it takes to produce and ship back here. He said that AGC ships a container here about once a month so it might be a month or so before they will be available.

Re: Replacement Windshield
My last conversation with AGC Europe was no stock available. I bought 10 windshields a few years back from them...They told me a minimum of 50 would need to be produced and i would need to forward the CAD drawings to them.
Let's see what happens with the guys in Georgia this coming week. Last Friday the glass i shipped from California had not arrived yet.

Re: Replacement Windshield
John & Company,
Why not a "KICKSTARTER" (-type) campaign with a goal of getting the original windshield manufacturer (AEG) to produce a run of 50 Mangusta Windshields? Everyone contributes, John keeps the windshields in stock, and then we can buy an exact fit at perhaps a semi-reasonable price for the indefinite future?

Re: Replacement Windshield
Steven..
I like it, but as per our prior emails I would prefer to use a local (US) manufacturer which I have located.
It will be like a CoOp sort of...feel free (and that goes out to all current Mangusta owners) to PM me which I would prefer since many "eyes" are looking here...
