Post #237 Rosso Pantera Red with Tobacco Interior For Sale
I am sadly parting with my 2001 Mangusta #237. It is the only example from factory in Rosso Pantera Red(John can verify) with Tobacco interior. It is currently on the Autotraderclassic site with link below.

http://www.autotraderclassics.com/class ... 8772.xhtml

I have babied this car and maintained it with an open checkbook. It is in #2 condition with very minor wear issues. It has always been garaged/covered and leather interior is nearly flawless.

If you are a real collector of Qvale Mangusta's I have a ton of memorabilia to compliment the car. Other than folks at Qvale directly I'm not sure there is a more complete set of memorabilia in one place.

I have every original Press Release from both Qvale Auto and De Tomaso on companies letterheads documenting every step in launch sequence from partnership to factory build to first car off line, all original marketing brochures & folders, DVD of car being made in Modena, original build sheet, original photo slides used for all marketing pieces, original CD with all marketing images, December 2000 Car magazine documenting & reviewing Mangusta launch, flyer & invitation from 10 Year Anniversary party in Las Vegas, photo's from 10 year anniversary with all other attending cars, and finally, California Vanity Plate can be transferred with sale, QVALE1.

Car was professionally photographed and all photos will be transferred with sale.

According to John, 2001 Model Years, have 4 Caliper Brembo Anti-Lock Brake system, Electronic Stability Control and Borla 4 pipe Sport Exhaust. Nearly $10,000 in upgrades.

Brand new Michelin Pilot Sports on front (backs low mileage), brakes with minimal mileage, DMV tags from February 13 and new AC recharge. All service records from my ownership.

Feel free to contact me for any further questions.

Thanks John for the endorsement. All pictures can transfer with the sale. They were shot by Nathan Craig who has photographed some of the rarest cars in the world. He wanted to photograph the car so bad, he actually followed me down the freeway in Los Angeles after leaving the Beverly Hills Concours' Show and waved me down. He has a real eye for how to shoot rare cars. Amazing shots.

I have a serious buyer coming tomorrow for those who may be on the fence. If you want to own #237 you will need to contact me shortly I believe.

You are one of the chosen few privileged to own a Qvale Mangusta ...i truly do not understand why people would sell one....best value for the money...!!!

Re: exclusivity, two thoughts..
1) I'd rather my Mangusta than a Maserati Cambiocorsa Spyder (for which it has been mistaken)
2) Scarcity of parts (replacement windshield/suspension bits, but John is working on it)

Simple 4 mile round trip to the bank and the supermarket yesterday......FOUR inquiries w/compliments.
Last summer, Manny was nearly invisible compared to my Acura/CR-V powered classic Mini, but this summer is off with a bang.

Some of the very best products of all-time have gotten an ill-deserved bad rap and failed in the marketplace. It's the old "Betamax Versus VHS" situation. When I read some of the bad reviews of the 'gusta by supposedly-savvy auto journalists, my blood boils, they are so wrong-headed. It seems that dummies write the thing off as a "expensive re-skinned Mustang." But it's nothing like that.

A friend read a few reviews and commented on the Mustang connections. I had to explain that the chassis, frame, suspension, etc., were NOT Mustang. And when he mentioned the Switchgear, I had to laugh. I traded in an Audi TT for mine, and the stupid electronics were maddening. You'd ask for heat and the computer would blow cold air in your face, become some sensor somewhere decided that was what was needed. I LOVE the "analog" dials in the Qvale, and the way everything works. I don't get the criticism of this car's interior fitment at all, really.

My girlfriend is a great test bed for unbiased information and opinions because she doesn't have the half-century of automotive prejudices and biases and so-on that I have. It's like she can look at anything with clear eyes. So first of all, she ADORES the Qvale. And she thinks the seats are FANTASTIC and loves all the leather. If I told her that the switchgear wasn't great, because it came from a Mustang, she would think I was being an idiot. Oh sure, I'd rather have genuine Italian switchgear, falling to pieces every few years and impossible to replace? Gimme a break.

And why do the reviewers 'diss the clock?!?!? I love it! Gets me to work on time. Explain this to me!
Well, heck, we're all in the club and shouldn't complain. If word were to get out, and people realized just how good they were, they'd sell for 75K!
