Post Door handle
So, my passenger side door handle broke (looks like plastic just snapped although I didn't look inside the door yet). Anyone have any idea where I can get one or if I can use some aftermarket parts for that? I searched for the part number from the catalog (002302), but no dice. Worst case - I'll have to get creative with plastic and molding, but I thought I'd ask first before I turn my work bench into plastic laboratory :))))).
If I can't find the part - look for my How To with pictures coming soon :))

John is in transit from the West coast to the Southeast and may not be able to give his insight for a few days. Hang in there. In the meantime you might use both Google and Bing to scour images to see if there is some alternative that someone has already used.

yeah, will try that as well, and in the meantime I'll also try and make one, shouldn't be very hard, just a bit of time.

If you want to go high tech, I know of a guy with a 3D printer that is looking for unique, small auto pieces to replicate. He's partial to high demand bits to get his money back, but one never knows. He's a Porsche guy and his grail is to find something for 356's currently only available in unobtainium.
BTW, do you have the oval moulded handle or the rectangular one?

Took awhile but got it fixed. John had a handle in stock, so $50 buck and about 4hrs later - I am all good. Had a little hiccup on the way in form of a broken tie rod, had to manufacture one and then John came through, again!!!, and found one for me. All good now. Will post "How To" with few pictures soon.
