Post Supercharging!
Here is some information on supercharging the Mangusta, which I thought would interest forum members....

The Supercharger Kit for this car is available, and we have done these several times.
As far as Mangusta's are concerned, we have gone thru every part of these car, and my lead tech here.....was one of the original guys who went to the Mangusta plant when these cars were released.

They were actually going to start selling supercharged models at one point, so my tech and a few others were flown out to tour the plant and met with designers.

Of course in the end, the company folded and they were never built, but we have been able to do them here for several customers.

The breakdown is as follows:

1. Vortech V3 Supercharger Kit = $4060.95
2. Install Supercharger Kit = $2178 (22hrs)
3. SCT Xcal 3 Handheld Programmer = $360
4. TPS Custom Dyno Tune = $450
5. NGK TR6 Spark Plugs = $30

Notes: we need to modify the radiator support so that it has room for where the supercharger mounts. We also need to modify the electric fan.
Another question is if your Mangusta has ABS brakes? If it does, then that means there is an ABS Module sitting directly in the area where the cooling lines need to go for the supercharger. We have been able to still do it for Mangusta's that have ABS, but these require just a little more work.

If the gears are done we will need to modify the chassis in the rear.

Qvale did not design these cars to ever be serviced.

What we do is cut out a section in the rear and modify it so that it is removable(which is what should have been done from the factory). We also do this if anyone ever needs to do a clutch, as Qvale also did not build the car so that the transmission can come out. We however have been able to modify them so that it can be done, without changing the structure of the car.

At this point you have the option to upgrade the rear differential gears.
We have found that even we the added supercharger, the factory gearing is REEEEALY low-end.
Meaning that with the added supercharger......and the gearing being so low....acceleration is not as quick as it should be. On our first build with one of these we found that removing the factory rear end gears and replacing them with the 3.73 option......showed a world of difference.
This is something we recommend doing with all Mangusta's.
You do not have to do this, but you will not be disappointed if you do. With this modification, I'd say that in 5th gear.....cruising at 70mph......you'd be at 2700rpm

To do this additional upgrade, the breakdown is as follows:

1. TPS Custom 3.73 Gear Set = $450
2. Install New Gear Set with New Bearings, Seal, Fluid = $594

Total time needed for this work is about 7 business days.
Basically if you dropped it off to me on a monday, I would have it back to you the following tuesday, as we are not open on the weekends.
Working on a Mangusta is not like your average car.
For example.....the whole front end of the car must be disassembled in order to work on the engine.
It is a very tedious process, and we make sure everything goes back in....the way it came.
The chassis also must be modified to accept the supercharger.
In the end.....everything works out beautiful

Here are some videos of some we have done:
