I have #283, with 4500 miles on it. I drive it primarily on paved state 2-lane roads (back roads) that have many changes in grade that come somewhat more quickly (they are steeper) than "normal" driving might experience. I find that, at speed, I sometimes "bottom out" when I hit the quick up-hills, which, I suppose means that I am crushing the exhaust system. I have not looked yet since it has been in storage since October.

Is the normal? Do others experience it? Is there a solution?

You probably need to explain a few more details to get useful help. Based on what you said so far, one would assume that you have problems with inadequate shock damping? Could your shocks be blown? Certainly possible, but if they were, you would be having other indications of that under a lot of different driving conditions. Maybe you are saying that your ride height is too low? Can't tell much from your description.

And to answer your question, no it does not sound normal & my car does not do that. BTW, the low spot on my car is my oil pan, which occasionally scrapes over big speed bumps. It's kinda hard to hit the exhaust because there's a few other parts that are lower. Have you examined underneath for damage?

Thanks, BTW, for the thoughts. In all other respects, the shocks seem fine. Looking underneath, from ground level, it appears that the lowest part is the exhaust piping--maybe that is the problem...it shouldn't be that low? Time to take it in to the mechanics, I guess....

John, I'm pretty sure it is not the lip, solely because of the noise and "feel" of it--definitely metallic, and it doesn't particularly cause the nose to dive.
I will report back in late May when I can see it again.

Yip any good sudden dips and you will bottom out, is more common than you might imagine but ask yourself this question: like any enthusiastic Mangusta driver..what speeds are you doing ...ah haa!
