Post I am considering purchasing a Mangusta...
and I am looking for information. I know that the drivetrain is related to the SN95, but how closely do they match? Is it all interchangable (engine, transmission, and driveshaft?) and serviceable by a ford mechanic, or is some of it custom fitted?

Thomas.. Welcome to out site. Your question relates to the Ford Mustang 94-2004 Mustang and "yes' the power train(engine and transmission) are Sn95 compatible..
But this is where it STOPS..it is NOT a Mustang in many ways ..suspension,differential ,chassis, steering,interior,glass/seals,lamps,all body components .

The Qvale Mangusta is serviceable by "competent" Ford technicians.

Your references are foreign to me (I'm in the USA), but at the risk or over-simplification, the engine and related bits (throttle cable, alternator, etc. ) are from a 2000-2001 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra. When the 'Mustang boys' come 'round at car shows, they look bemused, but when they round the front end and look under the hood, they say "Oh heck! Yeah, we could let him in the club with this!" Still, it is NOT a Mustang.

Likewise the transmission is a 5-speed T45 (6-speed upgrades are available). The LSD in an Australian unit. The interior instruments and controls are also Ford "Visteon' pieces for the 2000-2001 Ford Mustang. The chassis and suspension parts are bespoke. Most, if not all small bits and bobs are still available through John Wolbertus, who upon his retirement from the 'mother company/distributor' Qvale Motors/British Motor Car Distributors defends the faith. Many parts were off-the shelf Ford bits, but from back then.
I find John to be the go-to guy.

Much of this is info is out there on the internet. In fact the other sections of this site have some of the background you are looking for. Other sites have test drive videos. One video even demonstrates how the Roto-top works (my car, previous owner.)
As you get closer to making a decision, if you are in the US, I offer up my car, #176 as a potential purchase. The short version is that In mid 2012 I bought Manny (that's this Mangusta's name), and a raft of NOS ordinary wear-and-tear parts for a winter project. After about 3000 miles or so of very enjoyable driving, I've experienced a series of medical issues, and now feel I need to sell Manny. The original posting from which I bought Manny is still on this site. Reference the "#174".
When I feel good enough, I will update that very comprehensive posting from the original owner, Dr. Taras.

Keep looking, the info is out there.
